Recovery Performance Officer

  • $116,223 per annum + Superannuation
  • Fixed term role until 09/05/2025
  • Geelong Location - Hybrid (minimum 3 days in the Geelong office is required)

About the role

The Recovery Performance Officer is responsible for supporting the Health & Recovery Division in delivering key initiatives to support the recovery of injured workers.

The role will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to drive the development and evaluation of initiatives that improve recovery outcomes. This role will be part of a flexible pool of resources that is responsible for discrete programs to support treatment providers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of health initiatives aligned to the WorkSafe objectives; focusing on improving customer recovery and provider performance.
  • Through the management of assigned portfolios provide expertise and consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design and delivery of recovery related initiatives meet business and customer needs.
  • Support the development and implementation of predictive data analysis and dashboard reporting for health and disability services.
  • Undertake complex analysis of performance data to identify improvement opportunities, gaps and risks, providing recommendations on how to manage escalating issues, anomalies or opportunities.
  • Assist with the development, ongoing management and reporting of provider contracts including tender processes.

About you

You are an experienced professional, with an understanding of the health and disability service system. You thrive in working in agile environments, and demonstrate highly developed interpersonal, communication and project management skills.

You have a passion for developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering high quality outcomes. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to liaise in a professional manner with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business and customer needs to develop relevant and appropriate solutions, ideas and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment where a responsive and flexible approach is required to ensure changing priorities and competing demands are met.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong experience in executing quality written reports, briefs, presentations, training and strategic communications (oral and written) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project experience, scheduling complex programs of work, planning, delivery, risk assessments, gap analysis and the application of agile project methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the legal, policy and operational environment (health and/or insurance) and proven ability to deliver improvement initiatives and programs of work supported by research, analysis and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake effective research and analysis capture input received from stakeholders to support the development of products and services, guidance materials, policy and procedures.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel, Project Management applications, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in a health, disability or program management field.
