Who are we looking for?
Working with our client Main Roads WA, we are seeking a Structural Engineer - Bridges based at the Don Aitken Centre in East Perth on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Performing the assessment of heavy loads and the endorsement of heavy load permits
- Maintain heavy load records and databases
- Perform detailed load ratings of bridges, update vehicle load ratings for all bridges and provide recommendations on load posting for under strength bridges
- Investigate the effects of and make recommendations for the attachment of services to existing bridges
- Liaise with the Heavy Vehicle Services of MRWA
What you will bring to the team:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Bridge design/construction and/or maintenance experience
- Conceptual and analytical abilities
