Position Overview: As a Structural Engineer specialising in Temporary Works, you'll be stepping into a dynamic fast paced environment, where collaboration is key and innovation thrives. You will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of temporary structures that support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience, with a strong background in Structural Engineering and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze temporary structures such as scaffolding, propping, and shoring to support construction activities.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand Temporary Works requirements and provide cost-effective and safe solutions.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure the feasibility and safety of temporary structures.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for Temporary Works.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals.
- Provide technical support during construction, addressing any Temporary Works-related issues that may arise.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, codes, and standards related to Temporary Works.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 4 years of experience in Structural Engineering (preferably) with a focus on Temporary Works.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Local experience and familiarity with regional construction practices and regulations are essential.
