Skills Training Australia is a leading RTO who specialises in the provision of training and assessment services across the Health and Community Services training packages.
Since 1999 we have been dedicated to the delivery of quality training programs throughout Victoria.
We are currently seeking an experienced Student Services Officer to work in our Melbourne CBD campus. The Student Services Officer (SSO)'s primary role is to serve students and teaching staff through the provision of excellent customer service and efficient administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception duties and student inquiries;
- Orientation and Enrolment support;
- Classroom scheduling and support to lecturers;
- Liaise with the Academic department;
- Maintain student records;
- Facilitate student surveys and reporting;
- Process credit transfers;
- Prepare and issue student documentation;
- Maintain student LMS;
- Prepare weekly student newsletters
Essential Skills/Knowledge:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a comparable student services role in education setting working with international and/or domestic students;
- Familiar with National Code 2018 and ESOS Act (for international students); ASQA RTO Standards 2015;
- Well-developed customer service skills, with a service attitude;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Advanced administration and data management/ reporting capabilities;
- Empathy with international students;
- Able to work collaboratively, in a team environment, meeting tight deadlines.
- Willing to cross-skill and to support other Student Services colleagues, when necessary.
- Confident with office technology, with strong Excel skills.
