Qualifications & experience
- Regularly track and assess student performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing necessary support and resources.
- Experience in Student Services or related role, preferably in the Higher Education sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, and staff.
- Empathy and strong commitment to student success.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in using student management systems.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Academic Advising: Assist students in navigating their academic journey, specializing in guidance for our Bachelor of Marketing, Accounting, and IT programs.
- Course Management Support: Help students with course registration, understanding degree requirements, and planning their academic schedule, particularly in their chosen specialties.
- Administrative Assistance: Maintain accurate and confidential student records with Student Management Software, process enrollment documents, and assist with compliance with university regulations.
- Communication Hub: Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administrative staff, ensuring clear and effective communication across departments.
- Event Planning: Organize department-specific workshops, seminars, and networking events that cater to the interests and professional growth of our students in Marketing, Accounting, and IT.
- Issue Resolution: Provide first-line support for student concerns, troubleshooting academic or administrative problems, and referring complex issues to the appropriate faculty or administrative department.
