About the role
This position will be responsible for the academic support of EPEC students, with a requirement of 38 hours per week. This is an office-based role and would require the successful applicant to work out of our Gold Coast office.
The duties for the role include:
- Be the student point of contact and attend to Student Support requests via email, Teams, Zoom, Online chat and phone
- Take incoming student enquiries and make recommendations based on the students goals and needs.
- Working with your portfolio of Full-Time enrolled students, you will provide academic support and troubleshoot study issues to assist students from initial course commencement through to graduation.
- Deliver solutions for at risk students to complete their studies within desired timeframes.
- Deliver scheduled Online Student Support sessions
- Deliver course induction to new students prior to the commencement of their studies.
- Provide feedback to the content team on the contextualisation and validation of assessment resources.
- Liaise with Host organisations as part of guiding the student successfully through the Practical Placement process
- Administer training plans, placement documents and other materials to students as required.
- Develop and implement processes to foster student engagement and deliver strategies to promote student completion.
- Attend monthly moderation meetings with assessors for the purpose of supporting validity and fairness in the assessment process.

You will possess the following skills:
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive rapport and relationships

- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with tight time schedules.
- Positive and flexible approach to a continually changing work environment.
- Ability to use multiple system platforms, and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to take on multiple tasks until completion, with excellent follow up.
The following qualification and experiences are a requirement for the role:
Essential
- Certificate IV or higher in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- Qualifications or previous work experience in Childcare, School Age Care or Education Support
Desirable
- Experience working in the education sector, such as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or similar
- Knowledge of the VET sector and the operation of RTO’s
- Previous experience working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience
