Reporting to - Operations and Maintenance Manager
This key leadership role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of the fixed plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Reduction and Safety Leadership:
- Drive the exposure risk reduction program and the potential loss of life program.
- Instill a strong safety culture within the team and actively promote safe work initiatives.
- Establish and optimize key engineering and reliability systems and processes to foster continuous improvement in plant reliability.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies for safe and cost-effective plant reliability.
- Support maintenance execution and the maintenance work management process.
- Ensure maintenance activities align with strategies, playing a critical role in the annual planning and budgeting process.
- Identify and manage asset reliability risks through effective lifecycle management.
- Conduct FMECA/RCA for failures, provide improvement actions, and monitor their implementation through robust reliability processes.
- Oversee Condition Monitoring processes, including ultrasonic and phased array UT pipeline inspections, vibration analysis, infrared inspections, fracture/failure analysis, etc., to accurately assess equipment condition.
- Identify sustaining capital improvement projects and manage them efficiently, utilizing internal resources or collaborating with the operational projects team in Perth.
- Ensure accurate reporting of plant performance through various media, engaging all key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain effective data and reporting systems for tracking plant performance, identifying issues, and analysing trends.
- Tertiary degree in Engineering
- Proven leadership in motivating multidiscipline engineering, reliability, and operational teams within the mining industry.
- Preferably possess a post-graduate qualification in Reliability or Project Management.
- Strong safety leadership skills and a track record of promoting safe work initiatives.
- Demonstrated budget management experience.
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Change management leadership experience.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Effective planning and stakeholder management skills.
