As construction progresses at Mardie, we are continuing to shape our team. We are looking for an individual who is ready to be a part of this exciting project, where you will have the opportunity to really make an immediate impact. 

We seek a versatile and multi-skilled Supervisor Electrical with well-developed conceptual. Analytical and planning skills to join our high-performing and collaborative team up at Mardie on a 14/7 roster. Working on an innovative project, the role is diverse with scope for fresh ideas.

The Company

BCI Minerals Limited (ASX:BCI) is an Australian owned mineral resources company with salt and potash as its initial focus. A future Tier One project, Mardie has been designed to produce 5.35Mtpa of high-purity salt and 140ktpa of Sulphate of Potash (SOP).

Using an inexhaustible seawater resource and 99% of the energy required produced by natural solar and wind energy, our Mardie project is a multi-generational sustainable opportunity that will supply the growing chemical, renewable energy, and agricultural industries with Salt and Sulphate of Potash for generations to come.

The Role

In this role, as Supervisor Electrical, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that safety standards are met in applicable areas, providing a safe working environment for all employees. You will be responsible for coordinating construction activities and resolving any interface issues that may arise, ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget. You will oversee electrical statutory compliance, including site isolations and permitting. As the Supervisor Electrical, you will work closely with contractors to verify that all construction work aligns with project engineering and quality system requirements. Developing quality checklists for compliance with contract specifications will be part of your duties.

Additionally, you will monitor contractors' work effort, assess their ability to maintain schedules and budgets, and motivate them to prioritise safety values. Accurate and thorough reporting is crucial, and you will compile daily force and equipment reports, as well as weekly reports and monthly progress reports. Your commitment to health, safety, and the environment will be paramount, ensuring that our company's systems and procedures are implemented effectively on the project site.

In this role, you will actively collaborate with colleagues, supporting them in achieving our company's objectives. You will have a keen eye for detail and maintain high standards of reporting on a routine basis. About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • 7-10 years? experience in the electrical field including a minimum of 3-5 years? working on processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems.
  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Frontline Management Qualifications
  • Current Electrical Licence
  • High Voltage Switching Qualification
  • Experienced in PLC application, programming, and operations.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawing and fault-finding control circuits.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and planning skills
  • Advanced financial skills with experience in reviewing and managing budgets including cash flow management
  • Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement
  • High levels of attention of detail
  • Ability to work in a complex team environment
  • Knowledge of safety and environment management systems
