The role
We’re looking for a driven and highly motivated mining supervisor to join our production team in Birkenhead, SA.
As the production Supervisor, you will optimise the performance of the Production Unit with respect to safety, productivity, efficiency, quality, environment and cost through development and monitoring of operating strategies and improvement initiatives.
This position requires availability for rotating 12-hour shifts for 24/7 operations.

- Identify and manage performance gaps, by providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
- Focus on the development and career progression of team members.
- Challenge status quo to find opportunities for increased production.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve best practice.
- Ensure that new processes or behaviours are embedded into the organisational culture for long-term success.
- Deliver production plans and manage minimal stock holdings
What you will need to succeed
- A Strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and risk management
- Frontline leader or management qualification (desirable)
- Leadership experience in manufacturing, heavy industry or a related field
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Initiative and confidence to work autonomously
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Time management and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Computer literacy including SAP and MS Office
