Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia, delivering the suite of Lifeline's services across eight geographical regions. LLD works as a collaborative of local Lifeline Centres sharing administrative and other support services, which not only delivers efficiency in administration, but enables the Centres to work together in areas that were not previously possible. This, all while maintaining a sense of ‘localness’ to operate and serve local communities.
LLD encompasses the Hunter Region, Central Coast, Bondi, New England, Northern NSW, Geelong, South West Victoria, Western Melbourne and Central Australia.
Based in Geelong, you will work collaboratively with a diverse and enthusiastic team to ensure the efficient, safe, and effective operation of our Breakwater Warehouse.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the efficient, safe, and effective operations of all Warehouse functions in order to support retail outlets to build revenue whilst ensuring a safe, harmonious, and respectful workplace
In this hands-on role, you will ensure the warehouse and yard is clean and organised in accordance with WHS legislation and LLD standards whilst providing oversight to the collections and sorting process to ensure stock is provided in a timely manner to all shops.
You will be committed to quality control and work collaboratively with shop managers to ensure stock provided meets their target market’s needs. Furthermore, you will ensure correct recycling procedures are followed to maximise return from our SAP operations.
To be successful in this position you will have:
• Demonstrated experience in Warehouse Operations including staff management
• and ensuring orders are picked and despatched by deadlines.
• Clear and effective communication skills that build trust and respect.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines within given timeframes.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
• High-level customer service skills with a focus on ensuring return patronage and donations.
• Experience managing a small multi-disciplinary team to ensure warehouse goals are achieved.
• Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments
• Induct and train warehouse personnel on current warehouse procedures
• An understanding of training and working with volunteers and or a willingness to undertake training.
• Overseeing the supply-chain process ensuring all procedures and deliveries are met in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
