The Lyceum Club in Melbourne was founded in 1912. The Club’s purpose is to provide intellectual, artistic, social, and professional enrichment for our members in a warm and welcoming environment.
About you and who we are looking for:
Here at the Lyceum Club, we’re looking for experienced supervisors and section waiters to join our team.
You’ll have gained fine dining service experience already and have a passion for food and wine and in providing exceptional customer service.
You’ll be a friendly, approachable and professional team member who can manage multiple tasks at once, on a busy floor that caters for a variety of events and functions.
Working alongside a busy, high-end kitchen, your passion for food will shine through when interacting with our Members, whilst working as part of a dedicated team of hospitality professionals.
The Club includes a fine dining function/lunch/dinner area as well as a casual café environment, with a bar and other multipurpose rooms. Our Section Waiters and Supervisors work across all areas and therefore receive opportunities to develop their skills in a variety of environments in which the Club offers.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated fine dining hospitality service experience in a renowned establishment
- Strong knowledge of food and wine in a fine dining context
- Superior customer service focus
- Strong interpersonal, and communication skills and a solid work ethic
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adept at developing strong and positive relationships
- Experience adhering to efficient processes, service standards and protocols
- RSA certification
