Waterco, a leading Australian manufacturer of pool pumps and filters, is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Analyst & Planner to join our Planning and Purchasing team. In this crucial role, you'll play a key part in ensuring efficient domestic (AU & NZ) inventory management, enabling us to achieve our stock turn, DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time), and on-hand inventory values.
What you'll do:
- Conduct global quarterly reviews of ABC stock classifications and safety stock/min stock parameters.
- Manage and coordinate SLOB (Slow and Obsolete Inventory) reviews to ensure timely sale, clearance, and/or disposal according to company guidelines.
- Proactively analyze inventory to identify underperforming products and take action to improve performance or reduce overstocking.
- Manage inventory projection modelling for all regions (AU & NZ)
- Stock transfers from Rydalmere through to interstate branches across ANZ
- Perform forecast analysis to enhance forecast accuracy and minimize safety stock requirements.
- Maintain monthly forecasts within the ERP system for all regions (AU & NZ).
- Support warehouse and operations teams in optimizing warehouse capacity and inventory levels.
- Refine and maintain the Supply Planning discipline for the monthly S&OP (Sales and Operational Planning) cycle, supporting the Planning Manager.
- Conduct monthly master data health checks, ensuring error identification, monitoring, and action.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure continuity of operations.
- Provide data analysis to the Purchasing and Planning Manager for cost reduction and optimized procurement spend.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall Supply Chain and inventory efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
Requirements:
- A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a minimum of 5 years' experience in planning/procurement and inventory management.
- Your experience from the pool and spa, hardware, building industry or related and adjacent sectors will be a definite advantage.
- Proven ability to make sound data-driven decisions and provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations.
- Experience in leading complex projects and achieving desired outcomes.
- A strong understanding of Supply Chain principles and processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate) and database software applications (ERP systems) - Epicor experience highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- A strong team player with exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to present to all levels within the business.
- Formal qualifications in Business, Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field are preferred.
