Purpose of Position:- Responsibility for and coordination of all Perth Production facility incoming and outgoing goods, including the management and maintenance of all associated processes and systems.
- Managing the the divisions’ export control and permitting program to ensure ongoing compliance.
- To assist Production Management with the day-to-day administrative operations of the production facility, including SAP control, inventory control and purchasing.
Major Areas of Responsibility:- Coordinating all shipments to suppliers, clients, and other Hexagon depots for both domestic and international shipments, including liaising with APAC Service and Support team to ensure compliance with specific instructions.
- Receipting all incoming goods from suppliers, clients, and other Hexagon depots, including updating SAP.
- Producing and applying all logistics shipping documentation and labelling, including archiving of electronic documentation on the company server.
- Raising and managing all sales orders (new and returning) in SAP.
- Using the CRM system to QA, finalise and approve all shipments in accordance with the required procedures.
- Liaising with freight forwarders, brokers and customs agents, and site representatives or internal stakeholders as required to monitor status of shipments including POD.
- Maintaining an accurate courier and freight monitoring register.
- Reconciling freight invoicing, raising freight POs, and assisting financial control as required.
- Developing and maintaining all logistics internal documentation including procedures and templates.
- Ensuring inventory levels are maintained by managing all activities related to purchasing and procurement.
- Conducting cyclic stocktakes in accordance with the required intervals.
- Supplier management, including new supplier identification and assessment.
- Applying for new or renewal export permits.
- Defence Export Control permit reporting in accordance with the required conditions.
- Product availability reporting to APAC Account Management and Service and Support.
- Participation in audits as required.
- Proactively ensuring all agreed key performance indicator metrics are achieved.
- Compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of themselves and the safety of others.
- From time-to-time contribute to alternate tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor / Global Supply Chain Manager.
Knowledge and Experience - Required:
- 2-3 years’ experience in similar role.
- Intermediate experience and skills with Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, but with an ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
- Strong sense of urgency, being able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise where necessary.
Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
- Practical experience using SAP.
Travel:- Domestic and international travel may be expected as part of the role.
