We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who is responsible for supervising the overall supply management operations across Dreamfarm business units globally. This position will require high collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to proactively manage the purchase and delivery of products in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. The Supply Chain Manager will be instrumental in managing supplier and vendor performance, selecting suppliers to ensure commercial feasibility including risk mitigation. This position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Similar prior experience dealing with Chinese factories and international Supply Chains is a must.
This is an in-office role.
Within this role your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading the S&OP process
- Develop and execute supply and production plans to meet customer demand, inventory targets, and financial goals
- Manage the Supply Chain team (Demand Planner, Logistics Coordinator, Project Coordinator/Quality Officer), develop talent and provide direction and support to ensure that the team meets organisational targets and goals
- Analyse Supply Chain data and make recommendations for improvement
- Actively negotiate with all overseas suppliers and vendors to improve costing and profit margins, including unit pricing, MOV, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms
- Negotiating, implementing, and managing all supplier SLAs
- Weekly communication with, and management of, suppliers in China to track order progress and ensure DIFOTIS
- Managing any manufacturing or supply issues while actively keeping stakeholders informed with solutions and timelines for resolution
- Working closely with product development team to support delivery of new products, and ensure product quality is maintained in production through quality management.
- Working closely with factories and Logistics Coordinator to expedite urgent orders
- Coordinating with Quality Officer and third party product quality inspection vendor
- Resolving QC issues, and arranging rework or replacement of affected inventory and holding manufacturing partners accountable to the agreed specifications
- Maintaining database of product information, communicating with stakeholders regarding rolling changes and pricing updates
- Working collaboratively with Demand Planner and Finance Team to ensure inventory purchases maximise sales opportunities within set company budgets
- Regularly assessing Supply Chain performance in order to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies
- Remote management of 3PL warehouses in China and the US, and management of Australian warehouse
Along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, the successful candidate must have:
- University degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or relevant management experience
- Sound knowledge and understanding of logistics and inventory management processes
- Previous experience in a manufacturing based Supply Chain Management role
- Previous experience dealing directly with factories and sub-contractors in China, for whom English is a second language
- Impeccable attention to detail, as well as the ability to see the big picture
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential)
- Time management skills with the ability to manage deadlines in a changing environment
- Previous experience managing a small team
- Experience implementing proactive strategies to ensure on time concurrent delivery of goods from multiple factories
- An enthusiastic and proactive mind set around systems improvement
- Strategic thinking skills and the ability to develop strategies and action plans for complex situations and moving deadlines
- Analytical skills including the ability to interpret and present complex information in a meaningful way to internal sales teams as well as Chinese manufacturers
- Australian Citizenship or hold a current Australian Work Visa
- Experience with NetSuite highly regarded
