Summary of the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage the Supply Chain functions of our Australian and New Zealand operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of raw materials from our suppliers to our valued customers, while maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Manager we are seeking will manage and direct the coordination of purchasing, warehousing, distribution, inventory, shipping and financial management of all Supply Chain functions, while maintaining a safe working environment for all internal and external stakeholders. They will have direct accountability for the commercial success of the Australian and New Zealand Supply Chain functions and will be responsible for analysing existing procedures, while identifying opportunities to create efficiencies.
Role Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Manage and optimise the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management
- Oversee the monitoring and management of inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels and minimise excess inventory
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and adherance to KPI's
- Monitor and analyse Supply Chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards, including Dangerous Goods storage and handling
- Manage and develop a team of Supply Chain professionals to ensure high levels of performance and productivity
Qualifications:
- While not a prerequisite, a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, logistics, or a related field would be highly regarded
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain management, with a proven track record of success is , and experience within chemical distribution is favourable
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain management principles and practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Supply Chain management software
