We are a Carrier joint venture company, wholesale distributors of Toshiba & Carrier residential air conditioning equipment’s and HVAC parts supplies in Australia. Our Totaline division provides specialist products for the air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration market providing our customers with a choice of aftermarket solutions nationally, through our network of outlets across Australia. We are the authorised distributors of genuine Carrier and Toshiba air-conditioning parts.
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager, based in Melbourne, for our Totaline and Residential finished goods parts and supplies division. This is a hands-on role and you will be involved with the management of all the final end of a Supply Chain process, encompassing - procurement, warehousing, inventory management, logistics and distribution activities.
Reporting to the divisional head, your primary goal will be to support sales in meeting customer demands and requirements on inventory, through execution of a proficient and effective Supply Chain processes. Some of your key responsibilities will be to :
- Maintain procurement strategies by means of cost-effective actions and within budget guidelines, with special focus on freight consolidation from factories
- Planning and implementing Supply Chain strategies in line with business objectives and goals,
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies from both local and overseas
- Managing excess and obsolete liquidation and slow-moving inventory
- Overseeing the 3PL warehousing and managing all internal warehouse, distribution and logistics activities.
- You will be responsible for inventory movement and its control, cycle count and managing the branches MIN and MAX settings to control IBT replenishments
- Your pathway to success in this role, will be to set and maintain Supply Chain KPIs and SLAs for receipting, procurement and cost accuracy.
- Management of all vendor activities, including negotiating rebate from all vendors and FIS from local vendors
- Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance.
Qualifications
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification plus two years of post-qualification experience OR
- At least five years of experience
Skills
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Financial acumen
- Thorough understanding of planning and developing business-impacting strategies.
- Desired: experience with ERP systems such as Oracle software
