Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our QLD team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the company’s Supply Chain strategy. The primary objective is to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials aligns with business requirements. This role is integral to promoting social and environmental responsibility and mitigating risks associated with modern slavery and unethical sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Supply Chain Management:
- Direct and coordinate the global Supply Chain function, emphasizing strategy, resource optimisation, profitability, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of materials.
- Communicate and negotiate with key suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate with Global Purchasing teams to streamline processes.
- Lead continuous improvement activities with a focus on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and efficiency improvement.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with Freight/transport companies globally.
- Provide monthly reporting against department KPIs in line with business requirements.
- Stay updated on legislation related to the Supply Chain process.
- Collaborate with Health and Safety to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, Supply Chain management, or related fields highly regarded.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
- Highly proficient in all levels of the Supply Chain process.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety and procedural best practices in Supply Chain management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of large ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation skills.
- Critical thinker with an aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
