About the role:
Reporting to the Parts Development Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist role is to optimise and manage our automotive Supply Chain processes and strategies. You are an expert in Supply Chain dynamics, and methodologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement, inventory management, and Supply Chain strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Parts Development Manager and team with coordination of Supply Chain.
• Develop and implement effective Supply Chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and ensure on-time delivery of automotive parts and components.
• Collaborate with suppliers to establish strong relationships, negotiate contracts and monitor performance metrics.
• Identify and mitigate potential Supply Chain risks, such as shortages, delays, or quality issues.
• Conduct regular Supply Chain strategies, reviewing and recommending adjustments based on market dynamics, cost changes, and business objectives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Supply Chain efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and integrated approach to Supply Chain management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Supply Chain functions.
• Establish and Maintain Supply Chain Reports to provide and present to senior management as per business requirements
Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Business, Finance, or a related experience is required
• Proven experience in automotive Supply Chain management strategies.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft programs.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in using Supply Chain management software and data analytics tools.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
