DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:
At FNET Distribution, our business is parcel contracting to Australia Post. We need Supply & Distribution Manager (Logistics Manager) to perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Logistics Manager at our parcel distribution company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the logistics operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of parcels to customers. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the entire logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and delivery operations. Your goal will be to streamline processes, improve customer satisfaction, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transportation Management:
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize delivery routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Coordinate with third-party carriers and negotiate favorable contracts to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation services.
- Monitor and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any transportation-related issues.
2. Warehouse Management:
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, storing, and dispatching parcels.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout and processes to optimize space utilization and minimize handling time.
- Implement inventory management systems to track and manage parcel inventory accurately.
3. Delivery Operations:
- Coordinate with delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parcels.
- Monitor delivery performance, track delivery metrics, and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
- Implement last-mile delivery strategies, including route optimization and customer communication systems.
4. Team Management:
- Supervise and train logistics staff, including warehouse personnel, drivers, and delivery personnel.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure effective teamwork and high productivity.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement, motivation, and professional development.
5. Process Improvement:
- Continuously review and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify areas for automation, technology adoption, and process optimization to drive operational excellence.
- Implement quality control measures
Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:
Education: Bachelor Degree in related field
Australian Experience: At least 5 + years of Australian Experience OR
Overseas Experience: At least 5+ years of Overseas Experience
Specialist: Supply & Distribution (Logistics) Management
Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
