This role will sit within the Oceania Supply Chain Fulfillment team and support the Logistics and Supply functional areas for the NZ domestic business. The end-to-end role will have responsibility to plan and coordinate global and local logistics operations (operations and stakeholder management), and in utilising reporting tools to continually analyse and offer recommended actions relating to all areas of supply and inventory management (FG and Bulk).
The Logistics Planner & Supply Analyst – NZ will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders including Beam Suntory’s co-manufacturing and distribution partner, a range of local and international 3rd Party Logistics Service Providers as well as internal cross-functional global and local teams.
This will be a great opportunity for a strong and capable Analyst that has a background in domestic and international logistics and warehousing, global freight forwarding operations, customer service, and supply and inventory analytics disciplines.
The role will report directly into the Senior Logistics & Supply Manager – Oceania. The position is based in Australia but will primarily support the NZ business and will occasionally (1-2 days per month) be required to work NZ business hours.
Role Responsibilities
The role will coordinate all logistics and supply operations and activities that directly service the NZ Domestic business unit. The successful candidate will be required to build and maintain close relationships with all relevant supply chain teams at our co-manufacturing partner as well as the wider Logistics & Supply Chain teams within Beam Suntory.
Logistics:
Coordinate all local and global logistics operations including freight forwarding, co-packers, co-manufacturers
Provide support to our customs broker to ensure all shipments are cleared in a timely manner and adhere to all compliance requirements
Ensuring that customs & MPI requirements are met and any other regulatory obligations are fulfilled
Ensuring compliance requirements are met, for example mandatory labelling
Ensure purchase orders are tracked through to our partners ERP and the status of each PO is identifiable at any point in time
Raising of third-party purchase orders and liaising with the demand planner at our partner to ensure third party confirmations are received and any changes are captured and communicated accordingly
Ensuring goods are receipted into the system in a timely and accurate manner. Resolving any exceptions
Processing the sale of receipted products to our partner and escalating any variances to action a resolution
Ensuring invoices from third parties are processed & approved in SAP in a timely manner
Supply and Inventory:
Be the lead for all supply related planning & analytical tasks for both Bulk and FG portfolios, including – prepare relevant material for all supply review meetings, validate co-manufacturer supply plans (short, medium and long term), lead SKU rationalization and transition process, review and validate NPD supply plans, resolve supply misalignment issues with CS teams
Initiate and run detailed Inventory projections, analytics and optimisation processes, including – prepare data for monthly inventory projections, build scenario-based inventory projection models, allocation management, SOH reporting.
Reporting:
Generate and maintain all SC NZ monthly reporting requirements across several cadences, including – Supply Chain review meetings, shipment forecast, inventory projections, supply outlook and risks.
Ad-hoc logistics, supply and inventory work as required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Minimum 3 years prior experience managing import Logistics operations and 3PL stakeholder management
Required previous experience in Supply and Inventory Planning (ideally 3-year min) and/or Business Analyst
Able to complete analytics in Excel is a must, experience in SAP Planning modules (APO, IBP) and SAP / BW would be beneficial
FMCG/alcohol background desirable but not critical
Tertiary qualification preferable
