About this opportunity
We are looking for a proactive Supply Officerto join our efficient, busy and fast paced purchasing team. Positioned at the loading dock, this is a full-time position, 38 hrs week, working between 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in the team, to ensure the smooth operations of the supply of general goods, food & beverage products are received and distributed throughout the resort departments. You will:
- Fulfil department requisitions by placing and processing orders
- Ensure effective stock control practices are maintained including stock levels and rotating and storage of food, beverage and general goods
- Monitor and physically deliver goods to all departments
- Accurately maintain records, invoices and ensure credits have been received, using the inventory management system
- Manage receipt of deliveries
- Perform duties in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner
- Operate a forklift to unload & move stock in the loading dock
- Communicate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with managing the traffic flow, hazards or defects around the facility area
- Comply with workplace health and safety standards

We are looking for
- Hospitality experience in hotel or resort environment, desirable
- Experience in purchasing, stock control systems, stock ordering, delivery, recording, handling and storage
- Forklift Licence & experience essential
- Knowledge of stocktaking procedures, Queensland Food Legislation and HACCP
- Ability to understand financial information and data with strong analytical skills
- Microsoft Office – word, excel and outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely
- Previous experience in hospitality or similar environment, highly regarded
- Effective time management, multi-task and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
