Supply Support Manager

As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Supply Support Manager will be responsible in ensuring all our contractual Sustainment Supply Support obligations are delivered efficiently by driving effective outcomes that compliments and respects the internal and external environment. Additionally, the position manages the requisite Naval Combat Systems inventory management and logistics coordination obligations.

Further, the successful candidate will:

• Provide leadership to the Sustainment supply team within the scope of the contracted service including inventory management, repair item management and supply item management.
• Manage the Sustainment Supply Support performance including the Key Performance Indicators for Supply components of contracted services.
• Drive continuous improvement of the Supply function to the established processes providing continuous change to ensure the services are fully met and improved upon. To achieve this, undertake problem definition, procedural requirements analysis and subsequent process/systems/tools redesign/change.
• Develop and maintain a logistics capability that complies with ASDEFCON Supply Support requirements including any mandated CoA tools/systems.
• Ensuring Supply Support staff are maintaining and transacting accurately and effectively in the mandated ERP systems, including Saab IFS and CoA MILIS

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

Your skills and experience will include:

• Tertiary qualification within Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operation Management

• Minimum 10 years experience with defence industry inventory management services and processes including maintaining equipment baseline.
• Working knowledge of IFS modules Procurement and Inventory (P&I) and Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) (Desirable)
• Integrity and ability to positively lead staff with demonstrated behaviour
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to plan, schedule, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to relate to and liaise with personnel both internally and externally with senior customer and sub-contractor representatives

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
