We have an opportunity to join our Great Southern Hub team in Albany. As a Centre Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day coordination and effective, safe operation of the Great Southern Hub activities and programs. Your other main responsibilities will include:
Support the development and implementation of both the strategic and operational plan for the centre in line with the organisations purpose.
Evaluating and reporting on programs and centre activity.
Coordinate the bookings and efficiency of the accommodation program, Complementary Therapy program and other client programs and services.
Ensure policies and procedures are reviewed and updated for the centre and continuous improvements are supported.
In conjunction with the People and Culture team, recruit, train, coordinate and support volunteers in your region.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:
A tertiary qualification in business or a similar discipline
Demonstrated understanding of the support and information needs of people affected by cancer, their carers and their families would also be desirable
Significant experience in coordinating the delivery of human services or community centre coordination
Experience coordinating contractors, personnel and visitors in a busy environment
High developed computer skills including previous experience with databases and Microsoft Suite
Experience managing an accommodation service is highly desirable
Highly organised with proven experience in juggling a wide range of demands and priorities.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
Experience working with volunteers
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
Have a positive approach to the workplace
Based in Albany, this position is part-time, 22.5 hrs per week (Monday - Friday)
