The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-driven and passionate Support Coordinator to join the team at Aratok.
The successful candidate will assist NDIS participants in implementing their NDIS plans by coordinating and connecting them with the appropriate supports and services.
The role involves building strong relationships with participants, providers, and stakeholders to ensure participants achieve their goals and maximize their NDIS plans.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with NDIS participants to understand their needs, preferences and goals.
- Assist participants in identifying and connecting with the supports and services that will help them achieve their goals.
- Support participants to understand their NDIS plans and funding allocations
- Monitor the progress of participants plans and adjust as necessary
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, their families, service providers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that participants receive high-quality, person-centred supports
- Assist participants in managing their NDIS budgets, ensuring they receive the supports they need within the constraints of their NDIS budget.
- Ensure that all activities comply with the NDIS guidelines and organisational policies and procedures.

- Be self-driven
- Ability to work independently in the comfort of your own home, as well as being part of a team environment.
- Ability to travel to visit clients and stakeholders for meetings, and networking events.
- On point budgeting skills ensuring that our clients are getting the NDIS supports they needs, whilst staying within the confines of their NDIS budget.
- Strong administrative and computer literacy skills
- A creative, ethical and professional approach when supporting our clients
- A guru with the NDIS by having in-depth knowledge of the NDIS and being well-equipped to navigate its complexities.
- Ability to adhere to timelines and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Be the WOW factor with Support Coordination, striving to be exceptional in the role by providing standout supports.

Criteria
- Minimum of Cert IV in Disability (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in Support Coordinator role or similar
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- Completion of relevant NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commissions modules
