Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Planning and Development team as a Support Officer (Environment and Compliance)
Permanent Full-Time– 35 hours per week
Location - Moree
Attractive Salary ranging from $1,052.00 up to $1,206.70 per week (PLUS Superannuation) depending on qualifications and experience

ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful applicant will:
Provide a high-quality level of customer service to customers and provide assistance in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide secretarial and administrative support to ensure that the necessary operations and services are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Planning and Development Department by releasing the technical staff from administrative tasks and ensuring speedy response times.
To assist, coordinate and continuously improve Moree Plains Shire Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) requirements.
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, ensure that an efficient and effective service is provided and that outcomes are of a high standard, consistent with Council and community expectations.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
ABOUT YOU
Certificate III Business/Office Administration or equivalent (Experienced applicants who do not hold this qualification may be considered however, and you must commit to gaining the qualification if successful.)
Relevant work experience providing administration support including preparation of correspondence and reports, customer service and record keeping procedures.
Ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment, maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholder’s service and ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to exercise judgement and clarity in prioritising issues.
Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with conflict resolution.
Self-motivated with the ability to work both as a team member and unsupervised whilst producing high quality work under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality.
