About Us: At Queensland Parliamentary Services, our People & Culture (P&C) team is at the forefront of a modernisation initiative. We're dedicated to delivering superior people-related services with a renewed organisational focus, aiming for impactful outcomes and enhanced service quality.
Your Role: As one of our two P&C Support Officer's, you'll be the first contact for our team, providing essential administrative, coordination, and customer engagement support. You'll play a key role in our journey towards a high-quality, customer-focused delivery model, serving a diverse clientele that includes staff, leaders across the Parliamentary Service, 93 Members of the Legislative Assembly, and their electorate office staff—approximately 740 customers in total.
What you'll be supporting us with:
- The recruitment process, from crafting creative job ads to meticulous record-keeping.
- Streamlining the onboarding experience for new employees, from system integration to documentation management.
- Coordinating the employee probation program, ensuring timely communication and documentation.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of HR documents, including letters of offer, policies, procedures, and reports.
- Contributing to the creation of submissions, briefing papers, and correspondence related to People and Culture initiatives.
- Empowering team members and clients to leverage online resources and self-service tools effectively as we navigate through a digital transformation.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting in Human Resources or a project team are a plus but not mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- The ability and desire to learn new, complex systems.
- Ability to drive processes and to deliver high quality services in a fast paced, highly. dynamic/changing environment.
- Show sound judgment to make decisions and display appropriate sense of urgency.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Be able to build strong relationships and trust throughout the organisation.
