About this Position
The People & Culture and Communications and Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Wayside's mission of creating a community with no 'us and them'. This position is responsible for coordinating information flows and providing general HR support across all teams, ensuring the efficient delivery of activities and programs for the People and Culture team. By maintaining HR systems and employee records, this role facilitates Wayside’s strategic investment in developing its people and fostering an inclusive, service-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Administer the human resources component of Employment Hero, the Wayside Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Litmos, Learning Management System (LMS) by managing the data collection, maintenance, and the integrity of the system.
- Ensure that Wayside meets immigration law obligations by conducting visa checks via VEVO for all new staff, record related documentation and track changes and currency for staff with restricted work rights.
- Co-ordinate and manage on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees, contractors and temporary staff, including scheduling inductions sessions.
- Proactively contribute to the development, updating, and maintenance of HR correspondence, letters, documentation, forms, templates etc. to ensure the implementation and maintenance of best practice HR procedures and compliant records management.
- Prepare and coordinate the Wayside monthly staff and volunteer newsletter/s.
- Co-ordinate People and Culture events and training sessions and induction.
- Support the Head, of People and Culture and Senior Manager P&C in the preparation of agendas and presentations.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Administration experience with a Human Resources Information System or similar
- Strong coordination skills supportive of a multi-tasking environment
- Previous experience in a HR environment is high desirable
- Time managements skills and the ability to continually prioritise and manage a high-volume work-load.
- High attention to detail and analytical abilities are preferrable.
