The Disability Support Services team plays an integral role in the success of our services and in the achievement of our vision, mission, and organizational objectives. Team members are directly responsible for the day-to-day support, and personal development of NDIS participants accessing services operated by Westcare incorporated.
The purpose of this position is to build, maintain and enhance the quality of Support Services provided by undertaking a range of administration, coordination and staff supervision and development roles.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Rostering for both customers and staffing.
- Management including mentoring to support mentors/workers
- Participant relationship management
- Incident Management – reporting, investigation and resolution protocols.
- NDIS compliance, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date. Risk assessments, intake documentation, details records, individual support plans, service agreements, progress reports, PEEP, general support routines/individual strategies and individual support / care plans.
- Manage Customer NDIS funding for individual supports.
- Promote the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- a positive and committed attitude to assisting people with a disability
- education to Certificate level in Disability, Individual Support, OR Community Services
- sound knowledge and understanding of NDIS and the NDIS Price Guide
- experience with NDIS PRODA system, manual and bulk claiming of services
- proven administration and time management skills
- MS Office skills.
A positive NDIS Worker Screening Check outcome is a mandatory requirement for employment.
