Your new role
As a Support Worker you will be:
- Supporting adults with complex mental health and, intellectual and physical disabilities in an independent living model.
- Following positive behaviour support and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
- Encouraging capacity building to enhance clients’ current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
- Promoting choice and control and show willingness to participate in clients’ day to day routines, goals, and interests.
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect - some clients’ require bed baths, manual handling/use of hoists, bowel care.
- Living by our values and bring a positive, proactive, and engaging version of yourself!
Some of our requirements:
We are aware there are quite a few compliance checks (listed below) for this role however, what’s important to us is that you have regular access to your own car and a P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher and flexible availability across a 24/7 roster which may include, mornings (6am-2pm OR 7am-3pm), afternoons (2pm-10pm OR 3pm- 11pm), active/sleepover nights (10pm-6am OR 11pm-7am).
