Officer Community Development Support - Fixed Term

Role Overview
Gympie Regional Council has a fulltime Fixed Term position through to March 2025 for an Officer Community Development Support. You will deliver and support a range of activities to increase community participation and social wellbeing in the Gympie Region and to provide administrative, grants and program support to the Community Development Unit of Council.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Well-developed local level events management skills including planning, promotion, budgeting and logistics.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with the community and staff.
- Sound experience in general administration preferably within a Community Services or Public Sector environment.
- Demonstrated comprehensive computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
- Positive Notice Blue Card for child related employment.
Essential Requirements:
- Coordinate and deliver a range of initiatives/events to implement the Community Development Unit’s objectives and business unit expected deliverables.
- Provide grants information and grants administrative support to the community organisations and internal stakeholders.
- Provide general administration and program support to the Community Development Unit, both office based and within the community.
- Provide information and referrals for community organisations;
- Community recovery activities as required.
