About the role
The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator is an externally funded position working closely with Kangaroo Island Landscape Board staff, farmers, land managers, local farmer groups, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies and agencies. The role designs and implements workshops, events and activities that promote sustainable farming outcomes that achieve Australian Government and Kangaroo Island Landscape Board objectives for Sustainable Agriculture and natural resources outcomes. The position provides technical advice, expertise and facilitation of information across a range of agricultural and environmental issues, including emerging initiatives such as net zero carbon farming, carbon and biodiversity credit markets and natural capital accounting.

The Kangaroo Island Landscape Board is one of nine regional boards in South Australia, including a metropolitan board called Green Adelaide, that support their local communities to manage soils, water, pests, and biodiversity. These boards invest landscape levies into regional priority issues as well as leveraging Australian Government funding towards managing and protecting our productive and natural landscapes. Salary Range:
$84,522 - $94,003 p.a.
