An exciting and rare opportunity has presented for a passionate and innovative aquatics and swimming lessons professional to coordinate the swimming school in Clare Valley's leading aquatic, fitness, recreational and Lifestyle Centre. The Valleys Lifestyle Centre is located in the beautiful valley of Clare, located a two hours-drive away from the Adelaide CBD.
The Swim School Coordinator will be responsible for all Swimming Lesson Programs, including weekly programs, holiday programs and schools programming. The successful applicant will be required to develop / possess a complete knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the YMCA Swim Lessons program. A key function of the role will be ensuring that all aquatic facilities are programmed to their maximum utilisation.
As the Swim School Coordinator at The Valleys Lifestyle Centre, you will also:
- Coordinate programming and growth of aquatic activities, including swimming lessons
- Coordinate the administrative and compliance requirements of the assigned programs through Perfect Gym, our program management database
- Regularly review and monitor programs, classes and timetables for effective delivery and participation
- Promote and market programs within the local community
- Respond to any customer feedback in a timely and positive manner
- Provide monthly reports to the Centre Manager
- Provide leadership and direction to all direct reports, and undertake recruitment, training, rostering and evaluation
- Adopt a customer-centric lens in all areas of program responsibility
- Ensure that at all times the Centre is supervised in a reliable, safe, professional and friendly manner, and provide direct customer care
- Commit to YMCA philosophy in relation to aquatic programs; educational and teaching standards

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
- Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety accreditation
- Austswim / Swim Australia Teacher of Infant Aquatic certification
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 Provide CPR
- Certificate of completion for “Responding to Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN) - EC training
- Experience in the aquatics sector as a swim teacher, or similar (Desirable)
- Lifeguard Qualification (Desirable)
