POSITION DESCRIPTION
Royal Life Saving WA (RLSSWA) is a not-for profit organisation, serving the community as the largest provider of swimming and water safety in our state. Our purpose is empowering our community to be safe when they are in, on or around water and leading efforts to reduce the impact of drowning.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Swimming & Water Safety Education team to assist in our aim to ensure no child misses out on learning vital swimming and water safety skills in WA. The position is full time, fixed for 12 months, with potential for further opportunities within the organisation after 12 months.
The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for:
- Lead the Endorsed Swim School program which involves the admin, educational and marketing support of the RLSSWA network of member Swim Schools.
- Lead the coordination of the Regional and Remote in-term and afterschool Swim and Survive programs to meet the contract objectives.
- Seek new partnerships to increase participation in the RLSSWA Swim & Survive, Infant Aquatics and Junior Lifeguard Club programs in the community.
- Implement digital communication strategies that connect parents to the RLSSWA website and their local Endorsed Swim School provider.
- Build the RLSSWA swim instructor workforce including leading professional development opportunities and support.
- Drive marketing efforts to grow the Swim and Survive membership.
- Manage and growing RLSSWA Swim & Survive programs and the software to administer online enrolments.
The Swim & Survive Manager will work closely with relevant stakeholders including local government Aquatic Centres, Swim Schools, and primary schools to encourage and facilitate child participation in swimming and water safety education.
Selection Criteria:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Project delivery skills
- Knowledge and understanding of student management systems.
- Understanding of Royal Life Saving WA programs & initiatives
- Knowledge in the delivery of swimming & water safety lessons
- Marketing or website management skills (desirable)
- Qualifications in either community education, sport & recreation, or the like (desirable)
REMUNERATION:
Royal Life Saving WA intends to offer a remuneration package;
- Salary $68,000 - $78,000
- Ability to salary sacrifice (tax saving benefit)
