Form of workTalent is partnering with our Tertiary Education client to source a System Administrator to work in their IT Operations team. The System Administrator will support the operation of the IT function at the organisation, ensuring they excel in delivering IT service management.
Responsibilities
- Systems installation and decommissioning
- IT infrastructure support
- Database administration
- Network support
- Incident management
- Security administration
Requirements
- Experience with server and storage administration and support (Windows)
- Proficiency in cloud technology administration and support (PaaS, IaaS)
- Experience with network support and maintenance, including Wi-Fi
- Experience in IT Security operations, including firewall rule creation and Active Directory management
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices
- Desirable:
- Hands-on experience with DevOps automation tools for provisioning applications and infrastructure environments
- Proficiency in scripting, particularly PowerShell
- Knowledge of Linux or Ubuntu
- ITIL Accreditation
- Experience applying best practice frameworks and approaches i.e. PRINCE2, Agile, TOGAF, ADKAR etc.
Terms
- Initial 12-month fixed term contract with strong potential to extend or convert to a permanent position
- Flexible working – 2 days per week in the office
- Paying approximately $110-120k plus super
