Cadence Connect have partnered exclusively with an award winning managed service provider, seeking a talented Windows System Engineer with hands-on experience in the Microsoft cloud space, including Azure, Office 365, Intune, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows systems engineering and a proven track record of successfully managing and implementing projects within a Microsoft cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows-based systems, including servers, workstations, and related infrastructure components.
- Implement and manage Azure services, including virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, and networking.
- Configure and administer Office 365 services, particularly Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Deploy and manage Intune for device management and endpoint security.
- Lead and participate in projects related to the Microsoft cloud space, including migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Windows systems with cloud-based services and existing infrastructure components.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and uptime.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to Windows systems, Azure, Office 365, and other relevant technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Windows System Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
- Hands-on experience with Azure services, including virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, and networking.
- Experience configuring and administering Office 365 services, particularly Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Familiarity with Intune for device management and endpoint security.
- Project management experience, with a focus on managing projects within the Microsoft cloud space.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, Azure certifications) are a plus.
