Queensland South Native Title Services (QSNTS) is a Native Title Service Provider funded by the Federal Government to assist Traditional Owners in the pursuit of their native title aspirations by providing a comprehensive range of statutory services under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). The Role
The Systems Administrator position is responsible for supporting reliable and effective use of complex information technology systems by end users with activities ranging from managing identities and access to providing dedicated technical support to individual users in partnership with QSNTS’ external IT providers.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Work in partnership with QSNTS’ external IT provider to coordinate user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Provide high level system support across HPECM, Traditional Owner Knowledge System (TraKS), Monday.com and networks.
- Support the continuing development of QSNTS’ bespoke database system TraKS.
- Provide system training internally and where required coordinate external system training.
- Maintain currency of training manuals to support training environments and design, develop and implement system process documentation and system policies and procedures.
- Assist to configure, install and administer mobile/desktop infrastructure, including but not limited printers, scanners and mobile devices.
- Manage system administration including the setting up of new end users, removing end users from systems and remediating issues as they arise.
- Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed and if required escalate to external provider where necessary.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems
- Provide support across the division as required, building capability across each of the business systems managed by the team.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a similar role or extensive experience in managing information systems.
About You
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Project Management Experience.
