You will have approximately 50 colleagues within this national shared services team, who just like you will be contributing to the success of the organisation. The work we do involves both back of house applications and processes as well as assisting our staff and colleagues to find efficiencies and improve the way they work.Current opportunityWorking as part of the IT team and reporting to the IT Operations Manager, this role will be based in Perth but form part of the wider National team. The key delivery of this role will be to provide technical expertise in the implementation, maintenance, and support of ICT infrastructure services within BDO.This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to make positive contribution at a time of exciting change at this dynamic professional services firm.What you’ll be doing
- Provide innovation and technical support of existing systems and assist in the development or implementation of new systems.
- Read and evaluate trend analysis, security compliance and capacity planning.
- Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of a range of systems including but not limited to:
- Windows, Linux and server infrastructure
- Virtualised environment
- Citrix
- Storage area networks
- Local and wide area network
- Provide point of escalation for customer support team.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BDO’s networks and computer systems.
- Contribute as a member of the technical team for the effective delivery of services to BDO.
- Participation in after hours work activities (e.g. System Maintenance, Upgrades etc) as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of a Systems Administrator role.
- Well-developed skills in some or all of the following areas:
- Windows and Linux
- Storage and server system
- Virtualisation technologies
- System security
- Fault analysis and problem resolution
- Demonstrated experience in implementing major new ICT systems.
- A proactive problem-solving approach.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team and display initiative and integrity.
- Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills to enable effective communication and interaction with people at all levels
