Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, developers, and engineers to enhance the product, serving as the customer's advocate throughout the development process
Utilise architectural and design expertise to break down the system into a structured hierarchy of requirements with well-defined interfaces
Participate actively in feature design discussions to ensure alignment with customer and business requirements, drawing on a deep understanding of DroneShield’s product offerings and the technical and environmental constraints.
Manage the system verification process prior to shipment, ensuring that all testing documentation is complete and validation is thorough
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of DroneShield systems to facilitate ongoing operations and continuous improvements
Perform engineering investigations and analyses to drive product enhancements and resolve technical issues effectively
Build and sustain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and customers, establishing reliable communication channels with end-users from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Communications, Computer, Electronics, Mechanical, or equivalent) or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in system architecture design and development
Comfortable working in a Linux environment
Demonstrated experience with Verification and Validation (V&V) processes
Thrives in a high-empowerment, fast-paced environment alongside like-minded, high-performing individuals
Committed to staying informed about the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance effectiveness in the role
Possesses a strong ambition and motivation to propel the company forward and compete with major industry players

Experience working with Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence
Experience using Golang, Python or JavaScript
