The Salvation Army Aged Care (TSAAC) is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our HR/TA team on a permanent full time basis to lead recruitment activities within an allocated portfolio while we embark on a journey of growth. ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary role of the Talent Acquisition Consultant is to support the implementation of strategic workforce solutions within our organisation. This involves utilising data analysis and recruitment planning to contribute to the overall Talent Acquisition strategy. You will work with an experienced Aged Care Talent Acquisition Manager and two other TA Consultants to provide high volume recruitment services to our aged care leaders and HR Business Partners across TSAAC and Salvos Home Care nationally for roles like Personal Carers, Home Care Workers, Registered Nurses and management within your allocated portfolio.
As this is a hybrid role, you will get the opportunity to work from home and from our head office in Redfern. You will get to travel around Australia, meet and work with some exciting aged care leaders, utilise and share your recruiter and talent consultant skills and expertise to ensure our aged care centres are appropriately staffed so we can provide the best care to our residents. Our successful candidate will: Play a crucial role in supporting TSAAC's Talent Acquisition function by utilising data-driven insights, collaborating on recruitment planning, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes
Work collaboratively with the team and internal/external stakeholders to contribute to the successful execution of strategic initiatives Contribute to the planning and execution of recruitment strategies. This includes collaborating with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand their needs, defining job requirements, identifying appropriate sourcing channels, and developing effective candidate evaluation and selection processes Leverage report analysis techniques to gather insights and make informed decisions Organise and host bulk recruitment days in collaboration with the team Develop and maintain strong relationships with other stakeholders in the business, i.e., other TA Consultants, HR Services team, HR Business Partners and aged care managers to ensure the delivery of consistent recruitment Develop and maintain industry partnerships, e.g., with Registered Training Organisations, Universities, Employment Agencies, government bodies, schools, etc to establish reliable candidate pipelines ABOUT YOU To excel in this Talent Acquisition Consultant role, you will possess a combination of hard and soft skills.
Here are key skills that would set you up for success: An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army. Recruitment expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
Familiarity with different recruitment methods, tools, and platforms. Data analysis: Proficiency in analysing recruitment data, metrics, and trends to make data-driven decisions, and optimise recruitment strategies. HR technology: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), candidate relationship management (CRM) tools, and other HR technologies commonly used in Talent Acquisition.
Proficiency in leveraging technology for sourcing, screening, and managing candidate pipelines. Compliance and regulations: Understanding of relevant employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to Talent Acquisition. Knowledge of equal employment opportunity (EEO) guidelines, diversity and inclusion best practices, and other legal considerations in recruitment.
Industry knowledge: Awareness of aged care/recruitment industry trends, job market dynamics, and emerging practices in Talent Acquisition. Understanding of skill requirements, job descriptions, and market demands in relevant industries. Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to convey information clearly, listen actively, and build strong relationships. Relationship building: Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with candidates, collaborate with hiring managers, and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners. Ability to influence, negotiate, and navigate diverse relationships.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and dynamic recruitment environments. Agility to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Problem-solving: Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address recruitment challenges, overcome obstacles, and develop innovative solutions.
Capacity to analyse complex situations, identify root causes, and implement effective strategies. Organisational skills: Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple job openings, candidate pipelines, and administrative tasks efficiently. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment. Willingness to share knowledge, support team members, and contribute to team goals. Customer focus: Dedication to providing excellent candidate and client experiences.
