Tamworth Gardens Retirement Estate boasts a modern facility supporting a large vibrant independent living community. This position is part of a small, fun loving, and passionate team committed to our resident's community spirit and Individual well-being.
About the RoleThe maintenance and Gardening Officer is part of our front-line team that provides gardening and maintenance services on the Estate.
You will be:
- Part of a team of 3 working within the Estate to present our facility to the highest standard.
- A team player where nothing is too much trouble.
- Bringing a can-do attitude and friendly approach.
Responsibilities
- Lawn mowing, line trimming and maintenance of lawns.
- Pruning, hedging, mulching and weeding of gardens.
- Operation, maintenance and installation of irrigation systems.
- Timely and proficient routine preventative maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
About your skills and experience
- Experience in basic maintenance fields.
- Experience in gardening maintenance, plant types, pruning, irrigation systems and servicing of gardening equipment.
Qualifications and Licences
- Unencumbered Australian Drivers Licence
- National police check certificate
- First aid certificate
Hours of Work
- Permanent Full-time position 38 hours per week
- Rostered Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Some out of hours work may be required from time to time.
Conditions of Employment
It is a condition of employment that you receive the seasonal flu vaccination each year unless a medical exemption is provided.
