Tax Accountant - Full Time

$ 80k - $ 100k (Package)

We are a boutique and growing Accounting practice in the North-Eastern suburb of Eltham.

We require a dedicated and professional person who is a current CPA or CA qualified member (or studying towards the qualification) with preferably 5 years of Public Practice experience. You will work closely with the partners of the business, have direct client contact, and be a key member of our team. 

To be successful in this role you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  You must also have excellent organisational and time management skills, have an ability to meet deadlines, effectively prioritise work, quickly resolve issues, and have a strong work ethic.  

The skills that the position requires include, but are not limited to;

• Ability to independently process and prepare Income Tax Returns including: Company, Trust, Partnerships and other Structures
• Ability to process and prepare accurate Financial Statements
• Knowledge of technical GST issues and ability to prepare Business Activity Statements
• Knowledge of Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and other lodgement requirements
• A strong knowledge of Trusts, Division 7A and technical Company & Trust issues
• A strong knowledge of small business CGT concessions 
• An excellent knowledge in all areas of Taxation
• Ability to train and review Graduate Accountant’s work

Strong Experience in Software Packages such as Xero, MYOB and Excel will be required.

Experience in HandiSoft is advantageous, but not mandatory.
