We are a small CPA public practice - accounting and tax firm. We are specialized in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and taxation - servicing a wide variety of small clients.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum three-four years of solid Australian experience in tax and business services in a CPA/CA firm
- Experienced as an accountant within a small accounting firm across multiple clients is essential
- Assisting in managing and meeting client expectations and deadlines
- Strong skill in Excel, QuickBooks, MYOB and tax software
- Proficient in preparing financial statement and tax returns of SMSF
- Preferably Tertiary Accounting qualifications
- Ability to interpret financial reports including P&L and Balance Sheet and
- Proficient with double entry accounting and vast knowledge of Australian tax law & compliance
- Ability to meet deadlines, ability to multi-task and ability to work independently
- Mortgage broking experience is a plus point
- Highly organised with superior attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparing tax returns and BAS & IAS for various clients
- Processing of Payroll/PAYG and Superannuation for clients
- Preparing SMSF accounts & tax returns and audit docs for auditor
- Day to day bookkeeping, bank Reconciliation and year end works
- Dealing with clients in person, over the phone and emails
- Dealing with the ATO, ASIC & other compliance agencies over the phone
- Dealing with individual tax returns and SME's
- Other administrative duties as required
