The Role
We are seeking a talented Tax Manager to join our client's finance team. As a Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with US and AU tax laws and regulations while strategically optimizing our client's tax positions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the financial success of this rapidly growing tech enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of US and AU tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax returns in the US and various tax filings in Australia
- Conduct research and analysis to support US and AU tax planning initiatives and optimize tax strategies
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting of US and AU tax liabilities and reserves
- Stay updated on changes in US and AU tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company
- Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation for US and AU operations and ensure compliance with related regulations
- Manage US and AU tax aspects of Research & Development (R&D) tax incentives and credits
- Serve as the primary point of contact for US and AU tax authorities and manage US and AU tax audits and inquiries
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on US and AU tax-related matters
Your Skills & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field.
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards your qualification. Big Four experience will be highly regarded.
- At least 4 years experience in accounting/tax experience.
- Advanced experience using financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamic, SAP, Excel etc.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to the broad audience.
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
