Brisbane Boys College (BBC) is an established GPS day and boarding school. The school was founded in 1902 by Mr. Arthur Rudd, who had a vision of moulding boys to be worthy leaders and good citizens – a vision that remains today. The College occupies 13-hectare site four kilometres from the centre of Brisbane and educates boys from Prep to Year 12.
About the role:
Brisbane Boys’ College is seeking an enthusiastic, suitably experienced Teachers’ Aide to support our teachers and students, particularly our secondary school EAL students. This is a temporary, full-time, term-time position, commencing in Term 2, 2024 to the end of Term 4, 2024. Assisting EAL Teachers, as required and in accordance with the needs of the students.
Selection Criteria
- Certification and/or experience as a Teachers’ Aide.
- Ability to support teachers by:
- Working with individual students or small groups within the classroom.
- Assisting with the development of teaching resources.
- Undertaking playground supervision duties.
- Assisting with excursions, etc.
- Effective, efficient, collaborative work practices.
- Ability and willingness to contribute to the College’s co-curricular activities.
- Ability and willingness to contribute to the College’s Wellbeing program.
- Willingness to actively support the College’s traditions and Christian ethos.
- Enthusiasm for assisting with the education of boys.

- Adhere to the PMSA Code of Conduct.
- Comply with College policies, procedures and training requirements, including those related to occupational health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
- Positively support the College’s traditions and Christian ethos.
- It is a condition of employment that the incumbent must apply for and obtain a Blue Card for Working with Children or hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers prior to and while you are employed in the position.
