An exciting opportunity exists for you to join the energetic team at Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) Goodna campus! As a Teacher Aide, you will work with the team of staff to support students with their wellbeing and curriculum to achieve student success. You will also participate in delivering the vision and culture of the school and develop authentic relationships with students, families and community members. The position is 30 hours per week plus 12/% under the standard job model (33.75 hours).

About Queensland Pathways State College:
We deliver a 12-month senior transitions program to vulnerable students that are still wanting to complete their senior studies, however, have found it difficult to succeed at this in mainstream schooling. Many of our students have experienced anxiety, depression, homelessness or trauma. By developing a safe and supportive environment, these students are able to achieve their goals and positively move onto pathways in further learning (TAFE or university) or employment.
Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher.
- Assisting in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials.
- Assisting teaching staff with playground supervision.
- Supporting students in class with their literacy and numeracy
- Additional administration work as required for the Head of Department.
- Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families.
