Due to growth, we are now seeking a Teacher Aide (internally known as an Assistant Team Leader) to join our Toowoomba campus in a term-time contract capacity to the end of Term 4 2024.
This is a part-time 4-day week role, 20 hours, 9am to 3pm. Ideally Tuesday to Friday however this is flexible.
As an Assistant Team Leader, you will contribute to the provision of a quality education service for our young people by assisting and supporting our Team Leaders (Teachers) with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide learning space supervision and support for young people with disabilities
- Administration assistance duties including typing Team Leader notes and work programs
- Maintain anecdotal records of young people to encourage and promote the learning experience
- Assist Young People in complying with Team Leader instructions as required
- Creating positive and proactive relationships with young people, parents, and employees that leads to a supportive and positive College community

Skills and experience
You are a skilled educator who has the ability to develop and mentor young people to succeed in an industry-driven environment.
You will:

Skills and experience:
- Experience working with young people with special needs in a classroom setting
- A passion for helping others and seeing young people thrive in their learning environment
- Certificate III in school-based education support or equivalent is desirable
- Certificate lV in Training and Assessment is desirable
- Current working with Children Blue Card
- Current driver's licence
- First aid and CPR
