The Role
We have positions available for suitably qualified individuals. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and highly skilled team at the forefront of conservation efforts.
While you will be based at our Clarence Campus in Hobart, there will be opportunities to work across all parts of the state.
On any given day, your duties will include:
- Teaching and inspiring the next generation of conservation practitioners at expanded project locations (including Mt Field and Maria Island).
- Collaborating with industry experts to invest and grow conservation efforts.
- Working on developments such as the East Coast restoration and Flinders Island projects.
- Liaising with local Council, National Parks, Wildlife Services and NGO’s, completing varying project-based work.
- Enjoying eleven weeks of leave per year!
What will you bring
- You should possess a diverse skill set encompassing reserve and bushland management.
- Proficiency in ecological restoration/revegetation and everything encompassed within.
- Knowledge of ecological surveys and experience in cultural practices, assisting in the delivery of innovative programs.
- A Commitment to building the next generation of conservation practitioners in a student-centred approach to training and placement in the industry.
- Having a Conservation Nursery/Horticulture background to deliver conservation outcomes and programs would be valuable.
