Teachers and school administrators employed at Halls Creek District High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an of $7,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.About the roleThis role will suit someone who is relationship-focused, highly motivated, and passionate about creating exciting, culturally responsive learning experiences to inspire students to learn.The Ideal TeacherAs a Design and Technology Educator, you will ideally possess the capacity to provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to cater for a range of learning needs including the specific needs of students who are learning English as an Additional Language. The successful applicant should also have a good understanding of, and ability to deliver, the Western Australian Design and Technology Curriculum. An understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework is also highly regarded, as is the ability to apply current evidence-based research to classroom practice. We are seeking teachers who have strong classroom management and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) skills to successfully engage students in their learning.The successful applicant will ideally be able to express their respect for and value Aboriginal culture and connection to Country, the histories, and experiences of Aboriginal people, and see your students’ culture as a strength.
