Jerramungup District High School (DHS) is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Teacher – English - Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS).

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Jerramungup District High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an of $7,000.00 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

The successful applicant will ideally enable positive outcomes using innovative teaching and learning strategies, incorporating relevant information technology to engage students. They will also ideally possess a high level of community engagement and understand how to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, the wider community, and external agencies.
Strong behaviour management and organisational skills that lead to a supportive and safe learning environment would be highly regarded. The Teacher – English - HASS should be energetic, enthusiastic, and display a wide repertoire of teaching strategies that embrace the differentiation of the Western Australian Curriculum. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

• complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
