The Role
New opportunity for a Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible to participate in and oversea the design projects from scoping out and tender process through detailed design and build to installation and delivery to the client. You will work with a group of engineers to develop 3D models, fabrication drawings, and installation and commissioning procedures and provide engineering support to our project team to ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high technical standard and meet all contractual and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Directs, guides, supports, and reviews the work of other engineers and technical staff.
Manages all aspects of work assigned from start to finish and ensures that all work is carried out within the set time and budgetary requirements.
Prepares and manages engineering projects to include: specification, design, life cycle cost, equipment selection, and planned maintenance programmes.
Develops and maintains mechanical and hydraulic specifications, drawings, procedures, manuals, and general engineering documents.
Provides technical assistance to the project and workshop teams.
Develops hydraulic system model and simulation.
Prepares 3D model and 2-D fabrication drawings.
Conducts site survey and prepares hydraulic systems condition assessment report.
Carrys-out works with the clients and third parties.
Ensures that all design and engineering strictly comply with, client and company standards.
Ensures engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance are achieved.
You will have the following Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
8-10 years experience in hydraulic/fluid power system design preferably in the mining or resources industry.
